Children’s Fairyland offers annual family memberships at prices that can’t be beat. One low price admits you and up to three children into our magical park for up to two full years.

Fairyland membership admits you into the park at no charge for one year from the date of issue (excluding special events). All memberships are active upon receipt of the membership application and payment. Membership cards are nontransferable.

Membership FAQ's

Is my membership transferable to guests?

Membership is non-transferable. Each person on the membership must be specifically named. We verify photo ID with adult member cards upon every entry.

 

Why do I have to bring my photo ID? What happens if I forget it?

Adult members must have photo ID in order to enter the park. You will be charged the regular admission price of $8.00 if you do not have your photo ID or member card.

 

Do ALL adults in my group need photo ID? Can my spouse/partner/friend vouch for me?

ALL adult members entering the park need photo ID to match their membership. Non-members pay general admission.

 

What if I arrive separately from my group?

Adults are only admitted WITH a child. Children are only admitted WITH an adult. If the rest of your party is inside, someone must meet you at the ticket gate WITH a child. Many find it easier to meet outside the park gates until everyone in the group has arrived.

 

What are guest passes and how do I get them?

You will receive one-time-use guest passes, dependent upon the level and type of membership purchased. Please check website and your membership contract for more info.

 

Can I use the Member Entrance if I do not have my photo ID? What if I forgot my cards?

The Member Entrance is open on the weekends and special holidays as weather and staffing permit. Unfortunately without both a photo ID AND member card, members must use the ticket window to verify their membership status.

 

Why do I have to wait in line so long? Do I have to get back in line if I leave the Park?

Fairyland’s Member and Special Events Gate is open on weekends and some holidays, weather and staff permitting. Member cards and photo ID must both be present in order to use this entrance. Please have payment ready and exact change whenever possible in order to expedite the wait. If you leave the Park, please stamp your hand at the ticket window for In/Out privileges.

 

Why do I have to pay admission during Jack-O-lantern Jamboree and Fairy Winterland?

Members benefit from a 50% discount on admission to these special events. These events are our largest fundraisers and feature special programs and performances which require additional planning, resources, and staff to create these magical moments!

 

Is parking included in membership?

Membership does NOT include parking. The City of Oakland manages and monitors the parking lot. Neighborhood parking and metered parking is available around the park on a first come, first served basis.

 

What if I lose my Magic Key or Member cards?

There is a Lost and Found in the Gift Shop. We cannot guarantee recovery of lost items. Member cards can be replaced for $5.00 each. You have the option to buy a new key. General keys are $3.00, Member keys are $4.00 with member card.

 

What is the maximum amount of people on a membership?

4 adults and 3 children is the maximum per membership. Additions are determined on a case-by-case basis and up to the discretion of the Membership Department.

 

Can I modify who is on my membership before it expires?

Changes can be made for an additional fee during the course of your membership. Requests can be submitted via email, phone, or in person at the Gift Shop. See our price list here.

 

Why must I have a child to come into the Park?

It has always been Fairyland’s policy that adults are only admitted with children and vice versa. The park is intended for families and friends with children.
