Based loosely on the opera by Serge Prokofiev
and the designs of Maurice Sendak, this
delightful tale comes to Fairyland. Prince
Leandro is under a magic spell that makes him
sad. Clarissa, a witch, has done this in order
to take over the kingdom of Mythnia, if Leandro
doesn’t marry before a certain time. When the
spell is broken, the witch then sends the Prince
on the impossible mission of finding three
oranges in the desert. He finds them, and also
finds three Princesses trapped in each piece of
fruit. But only one is the perfect Princess.
Will he marry her and beat Clarissa at her own
game? A Commedia Del’ Arte tale. Puppets and
script by Lewis Mahlmann.
