Children’s Fairyland has hosted a magical fundraising gala every spring since 1996. That’s 24 years straight! But, this year, COVID-19 has forced us to temporarily close the Fairy Gates and cancel Once Upon a Time at Fairyland, originally scheduled for May 28, 2020.
During this closure we continue to engage families with virtual activities, to keep our animals and grounds safe, and to prepare to re-open the Fairy Gates when it is safe to do so. But without Gala proceeds or admissions revenue, it is a serious challenge.
You can help! A donation today will help ensure that Fairyland continues to be a resource to our community — now and when we reopen. Children need Fairyland, and Fairyland needs you.
In lieu of purchasing a gala ticket, an auction item, a table sponsorship, or raising your paddle to make a donation, please support the Children’s Fairyland Reopening and Recovery Fund. Make your donation at this link or mail your check to: Children’s Fairyland at 699 Bellevue Ave., Oakland, CA 94610.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, the night we were supposed to be hosting you in person, head to our Facebook page to raise a glass with us in celebration of Fairyland’s enduring legacy. We’ll celebrate your support by announcing the total contributed to date on our $500,000 Reopening and Recovery Fund goal.
