For generations, Bay Area families have celebrated birthdays the Fairyland way: whimsical, worry-free, and filled with wonder! Bring your friends and family for a one-of-a-kind party at the park.

Step 1: Pick Your Date!
Birthdays at Fairyland are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. If your preferred date is unavailable, we encourage you to check in again or contact us to be placed on a waiting list.
Step 2: Pick Your Package
Every birthday package includes:
- Two hours in an exclusive party area
- A speedy check-in
- A host to escort to your private party area
- A Fairyland keepsake birthday t-shirt and gold crown for the birthday child

Oswald the Bubble Elf & Me Party

Park admission for 10 children and 10 accompanying adults
Includes all standard birthday benefits
Additional children are $17 and adults are $16 each.

Willie the Whale Party Package

Park admission for 12 children and 12 accompanying adults

Royalty for a day! Beautifully painted murals tell the tale of Cinderella in this courtyard with a whimsically oversized pumpkin and a private glass-slipper slide to play on.

Circus Party Area
With playful wooden cutouts of Circus animals performing various tricks and vinyl panels below a large tent, this space will make you feel like you’re celebrating under the Big Top!

A scene serene! Stroll through a bright red archway into colorful murals of Japanese folktale characters. A magic garden between Emerald City Stage and the Puppet Theater offers partygoers the perfect location for catching Fairyland performances.
Choose a Private Party Area

Host your child’s birthday party with a two-hour rental in one of our secluded party areas. All party areas are cleaned and sanitized before and after your event!
Now that children 6 months through 5 years have the ability to be vaccinated masking at Fairyland is optional, except in the Fairyland gift shop, where they will still be required.

Plan Your Own Party
The Teddy Bear Picnic Grove is available for do-it-yourself parties and other group gatherings. Access to the Teddy Bear Picnic Grove is included in the Fairyland admission price, and its picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Your group can use up to two picnic tables for the entire day. You are responsible for your own setup and cleanup.
Fairyland Party FAQ
When are birthday parties available?
Fairyland hosts birthday parties from January through November on Saturdays and Sundays. We offer birthday parties in the morning (10:30 AM) and in the afternoon (1:30 PM).
How much does a Fairyland birthday party cost?
We offer three different party packages starting at $410 for 10 children and 10 adults–$370 for Fairyland Members. Full payment is required by the Wednesday before your child’s Birthday party.
What is the cancellation policy for birthday parties?
You are welcome to cancel your party at any time. Your party can be fully refunded except for the cost of your cupcakes. You are still welcome to pick up dessert at your scheduled party time. Please email birthdays@fairyland.org if you have more questions.
How do I book a birthday party?
Book online. It’s the fastest way to book your child’s special day. After you register online, someone from our Family Events team will email you to finalize your booking and confirm your party details. Your reservation is only confirmed once you have received a detailed confirmation from our Events team. Alternatively, you can email the Family Events team to book your party at birthdays@fairyland.org.
Can I tour the party areas?
Yes, please email birthdays@fairyland.org to schedule a tour. Please note that we cannot book parties or give tours on a drop-in basis.
Will my credit card be automatically charged when I submit my form?
Nope! You will get a final invoice by email after you confirm all of the party details.
Do I receive a discount if I am a Fairyland member?
Yes! Fairyland members get a discount on all party packages once your membership is verified.
Can I add extras?
Yes! For an additional cost, we are happy to provide extra items to give all your guests the full Fairyland experience!

What isn’t allowed?
Fairyland does not permit:
- Glass containers of any kind
- Helium tanks
- Alcoholic beverages of any kind
- Vaping or smoking
- Open flames or heating devices (no barbeques, chafing dishes, portable grills or generators)
- Lit candles. Fairyland will provide candles and lighters on request. But for safety reasons, we can’t have lit candles without a staff member present.
- Piñatas, sidewalk chalk, confetti and silly string (These items are harmful to Fairyland’s animals.)
Where do I park?
Parking is available on Bellevue Avenue, near Fairyland’s entrance. On Saturdays and Sundays, the City of Oakland charges a parking fee of $5 per car. On Sundays, street parking is free.
Can I pull up to the main gate to unload my car?
Sorry, no! You may not unload or park your vehicle on the service road adjacent to Fairyland. We suggest that you bring a wagon to transport anything you’re bringing to the party.
I don’t know exactly how many children will attend. May I add guests later?
Yes. You may add extra children and adults at a later time after booking your party. Guest totals are due the Friday the week prior to your scheduled party.
Is the birthday child included in the total number of children?
Yes. Please remember to count your birthday child in the total number of children; we don’t want to forget the most important guest!
Do you offer full catering?
Yes! We do offer catering through Bean Sprouts, our onsite cafe. Catering is offered at an affordable price, and, best of all, we do everything for you. Menu and ordering details are provided with your confirmation email upon booking.
What happens if it rains?
Park closures due to inclement weather are based on safety considerations. You will receive an email from us as soon as the decision has been made to close the park.
You’ll then have three options:
- Reschedule: We are happy to work with you to find a date that works for you as an alternative. There is no cost to reschedule your party except for the cost to reorder your cupcakes.
- Host Elsewhere: You are welcome to come at your scheduled party time to pick up your party supplies so that you can host your party at a different location. If you choose this option, you will be refunded the cost of admission for all of your guests.
- Cancel: You are welcome to cancel your party at any time. Your party can be fully refunded except for the cost of your cupcakes. You are still welcome to pick up dessert at your scheduled party time.
May we bring our own food?
Certainly, just remember to keep it simple — you want to have fun too! But, please note that certain items are never permitted in the park: glass containers of any kind, alcohol of any kind, open flames or heating devices of any kind (barbeques, chafing dishes, portable grills or generators), helium tanks, and piñatas. Fairyland does not have a storage space for items prior or post your scheduled party time.

How does the guest count work?
One week prior to your scheduled party, tell us the total number of adults and children you’re expecting. We will then send you a QR code to send to your party guests. On the day of the party, someone from our team will meet your entire group at the Fairy Gates to be scanned and checked into the park.
