Get Ready for a Fantastic Visit

Children’s Fairyland is a whimsical 10-acre storybook park on the shores of Oakland’s Lake Merritt, designed for families with little ones (ages 0-8). Explore magical playsets, meet friendly animals, watch puppet shows, and enjoy rides, live performances and hands-on fun in a safe, outdoor wonderland. Sparking imagination and joy since 1950!

Fairy Fun Fair

June 13 | 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The circus comes to town! Fairyland is transformed for one day only into a spectacle of circus performances, carnival games, and county fair family fun. Bouncy houses, face painting, funhouse, game booths, bubble party, circus eats, treats, and shows by Prescott Circus and Live Loud Circus await!

Once Upon a Time at Fairyland

Once Upon a Time at Fairyland, our annual fundraising gala, is an enchanted affair where we grow community,  invest in the future, and celebrate the creativity, joy, and resilience of our East Bay and Oakland family. Juneteenth Celebration

June 19 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Celebrate Juneteenth at Fairyland! Jumpstart510 joins the fun with Double Dutch jumprope lessons. Daisy the Clown inspires and entertains. Block printing, themed arts & crafts, Freedom Fizz sampling, puppet shows, rides, and classic Fairyland fun make it a perfect day to gather up the family and reflect, rejoice, and play in community.

Summer Sleepovers

June 20-21 | July 25-26 | August 8-9
Camp overnight at Fairyland! Enjoy rides, special performances, sunset puppet shows, storybook sets, catered dinner, popcorn, and an unforgettable outdoor experience sleeping under the stars.  Just pack up your posse and gather your gear—we’ll do the rest!

Oakland's Magic Kitchen

June 20.  11:30 a.m.  | Aesop’s Playhouse
Oakland’s most magical cooking show is heating up again! Fairyland teams up with The Town’s top chefs and our very own furry mascot, Quercus, to get your little ones excited about ingredients, recipes, making meals, and participating in the kitchen. It’s a kid-friendly culinary adventure!

Teddy Bear Picnic Day

July 18 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bring a plushy. Have a picnic! Grab your favorite stuffed animal and bring it to the Park for a day of sunshine, stuffies, stories, and snacking. Children’s Theatre performances, arts and crafts, cameos by Corduroy the Bear, scavenger hunt, live shows by Mr. Elephant, field games, bubble magic, and all day picnic fun are yours to enjoy.
