Fall into Fairyland Magic

Celebrate the magic of literature with over 30 of the Bay Area’s best creatives in KidLit. Meet award-winning authors and illustrators, enjoy read-alouds & live demos, shop exceptional books for kids, and cheer on the Youth Writers Workshop class of ’26.

Fairyland’s artsiest party returns! Watch in awe as 50+ local artists create Fairyland-inspired artwork live in real time. Meet & greet, imbibe with cocktails, see a puppet show, enjoy a live band, and possibly take home a piece of the evening’s magic at the end of the night’s spirited art sale!

Join us for three weekends of celebrating and uplifting the vibrant beauty within the Latinx diaspora with traditional games, themed arts & crafts, hands-on learning, food exploration, music, dance, and spectacular cultural performances by Cuicacalli, Cunamacue, Cascade de Flores, and Colors of Spanish.

Oakland’s most magical cooking show is heating up again! Fairyland teams up with Chef Nelson of alaMar Dominican Kitchen to get your little ones excited about ingredients, recipes, making meals, and participating in the kitchen. It’s a kid-friendly culinary adventure! Come get a sneak peek behind the scenes of one of The Town’s most flavorful finds.

A brand new event at Fairyland! Fall Fest is a cozy celebration of the magic of autumn. Gather under the turning trees for hands-on learning, arts & crafts, seasonal flavors, nature-inspired activities, a giant leaf pit, and magical fall fun. 

Oct. 31 | 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.  | Special Event
Oakland’s trick-or-treating extravaganza returns! Halloween at Fairyland’s Mad Magic transforms the Park into a radioactive lab bubbling over with Bouncy Houses, themed arts & crafts, live performances, STEM activities, scavenger hunts, and of course, candy! Costumes encouraged, not required.
