Party Areas

Choose a private party area

Host your child’s “bubble” birthday party with a two-hour rental in one of our secluded party areas. All party areas are cleaned and sanitized before and after your event! Face masks are required inside the park for all guests ages two and older.

Cinderella

Cinderella Party Area

A fairy-tale mural surrounds the tables that seat 10 to 20 children. Enjoy your own private “slipper” slide and giant pumpkin table.

 

Circus

Circus Party Area

A colorful tented area with seating for up to 20 children. Playful circus animal paintings and bright colors decorate the area.

 

TeaGarden

Japanese Tea Garden

A bright red archway leads into a Japanese-style painted area with seats for up to 10 children.

“Bubble” Party Packages

DIY Package - $350/$325 for Fairyland Members (for up to 10 children) 

Includes:

  • Two hours in an exclusive party area
  • Guest list for your party for speedy check-in and escort to your private party area
  • Gold crown for the birthday child
  • Park admission for all 10 children and 10 accompanying adults**

**Additional children and adults are $26 each. All additional children will receive the items listed above.

 

Oswald the Bubble Elf Party Package $425/ $383 for Fairyland Members (for up to 10 children)

Includes:

  • Two hours in an exclusive party area
  • Ice cream, cupcakes, and a place setting for each child
  • A Fairyland keepsake birthday t-shirt and gold crown for the birthday child
  • Admission into the park for all 10 children and 10 accompanying adults**

**Additional children and adults are $30 each. All additional children will receive the items listed above.

 

 Willie the Whale Party Package $450/ $405 for Fairyland Members (for up to 10 children)

Includes:

  • Two hours in an exclusive party area
  • Ice cream, cupcakes, beverage, and place setting for each child
  • A Fairyland keepsake birthday t-shirt and gold crown for the birthday child
  • Admission into the park for all 10 children and 10 accompanying adults**
  • A “Happy Birthday!” balloon bouquet with one mylar balloon and five latex balloons in matching colors

**Additional children and adults are $40 each. All additional children will receive the items listed above.

 

Happy Dragon Party Package $475/ $428 for Fairyland Members (for up to 10 children)

Includes:

  • Two hours in an exclusive party area
  • Ice cream, cupcakes, beverage, and place setting for each child
  • A Fairyland keepsake birthday t-shirt and gold crown for the birthday child
  • Admission into the park for all 10 children and 10 accompanying adults**

Party FAQs

When are “bubble” birthday parties available?

Fairyland will start hosting “bubble” birthday parties on July 3, 2021. A “bubble” birthday at Fairyland includes a no-touch party area rental with admission for 10 children and 10 accompanying adults. A la carte add-ons are available for an additional fee. Your party box will be assembled and left in your private party area for you.

 

How much does a “bubble” birthday party cost?

“Bubble” birthday party packages start at $350 for 10 children ($325 for Fairyland Members). Full payment is required at the time of final booking with our family programs specialist. There are no party refunds unless Children’s Fairyland must close because of unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather. All prices are subject to change without notice.

 

How do I book a birthday party?

Register online. It's the fastest way to register for a party. Once you book online, our family programs specialist will phone you to finalize your booking and confirm your party details and first payment. Your reservation can only be confirmed by speaking to our family programs specialist.

Due to the high volume of calls and inquiries we receive, it may take up to 72 hours to confirm your registration.

Please keep in mind we cannot book parties or give tours on a drop-in basis.  Feel free to call the family programs specialist to book over the phone at 510-452-2259.

 

Will my card be automatically charged when I submit my form?

No, your card will be charged after you confirm all of the party details with our family programs specialist on the phone.

 

Do I receive a discount if I am a Fairyland Member?

Yes! Members receive a discount on party packages once your membership is verified with our family programs specialist.

 

Can I add extras?

Yes! For an additional fee, we are happy to provide extra items to give your guests the full Fairyland experience! With this glove service, we will assemble your party box and have it in your exclusive party area prior to your start time.

What isn’t allowed?

Fairyland does not permit:

  • Glass containers of any kind
  • Helium tanks
  • Alcoholic beverages of any kind
  • Vaping or smoking
  • Open flames or heating devices (no barbeques, chafing dishes, portable grills or generators)
  • Piñatas, confetti and silly string (Sorry, these items are harmful to all the animals that live at Children’s Fairyland.)

 

Where do I park?

Parking is available on Bellevue Avenue, near Fairyland’s entrance. On Saturdays and Sundays, the City of Oakland charges a parking fee of $5 per car. On Sundays, street parking is free. Unfortunately, you may not unload or park your vehicle on the service road adjacent to Fairyland. We suggest that you bring a wagon to transport anything you’re bringing to the party.

 

I don’t know exactly how many children will attend. May I add guests later?

Yes. You may add extra children and adults at a later time after booking your party. Guest totals are due by 2 p.m. on the Wednesday before your scheduled party.

 

Is the birthday child included in the total number of children?

Yes. Please remember to count your birthday child in the total number of children; we don’t want to forget the most important guest!

 

Do you offer full catering?

Yes! We do offer catering options. Our catering is offered at an affordable price, and, best of all, we do everything for you. All catering orders are due at least 14 days in advance of your birthday party. For a menu and more information, please email us.

 

What happens if it rains?

Park closures due to inclement weather are based on safety considerations. You will receive a call from us as soon as the decision has been made to close the park.

You’ll then have three options:

  1. Reschedule your party at Fairyland 
  2. Pick up your party items so you can host your party elsewhere and receive a refund for your park entrance fee. Each ticket has a value of $13.
  3. Cancel your party. You will receive a refund, minus a $25 processing fee.

 

May we bring our own food?

Certainly. Just remember to keep it simple — you want to have fun too! But, please note that certain items are never permitted in the park: glass containers of any kind, alcohol of any kind, open flames or heating devices of any kind (barbeques, chafing dishes, portable grills or generators), helium tanks, and piñatas. Fairyland does not have a storage space for items prior to your scheduled party time.

 

How does the guest list work?

After you book your party, we’ll email you a form to fill out with the names of your guests as they RSVP. Email the completed list back to the family programs specialist one week before your scheduled party day. The family programs specialist will then schedule a time prior to your reservation to meet you and your guests for check in. On the day of the party, we will meet you and your entire group at the Fairy Gates to check you all in and enter the park.

Before You Book

Please book your party six to eight weeks in advance — our party areas fill up quickly!

Before you book using our online system, please decide on the:

  • Party area selection
  • Number of guests (10 child minimum)

After you register, you will be contacted by phone to finalize booking and arrange first payment. Any a la carte add-ons, including Magic Keys, favor bags, food, themed paper products, and/or balloons, can be ordered on this call.

Again, Fairyland does not allow:

  • Glass containers of any kind
  • Helium tanks
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Vaping or smoking
  • Open flames (no barbecues, chafing dishes, or portable grills)
  • Piñatas, confetti or silly string (Sorry, these items are harmful to all the animals that live at Children’s Fairyland.)
