As Oakland comes together to celebrate LakeFest 2026, our priority is safety for all guests wanting to celebrate, play, and be in community here in Oakland.

With this in mind, Fairyland will be closed on Saturday, June 27, due to road closures and limited access to the Park. With Grand Avenue closed and public transportation routes impacted, we’ve decided to close for the day to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in the Lake Merritt area.

We will reopen on Sunday, June 28, to the public at 10 a.m. We look forward to welcoming families back for a full day of play! We hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend celebrating all that makes Lake Merritt special. Have fun, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon!
