Welcome to Fairyland!

Fairyland for Grownups (21+)

Summer’s most magical night is back…

Children’s Fairyland
Friday, August 14, 2026
6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

During the day, adults who want to visit Children’s Fairyland must bring a kid (and vice versa). But on Friday, August 14th, that rule does not apply. On that night, Oaklandish and Fairyland are hosting a night of pure imagination—for grownups only! The 14th annual Fairyland for Grownups brings a night of pure imagination, dancing under the Oakland stars, and partying at the Park in a way that only happens when Oaklandish and Fairyland come together.

DJ + Dancing | Moonlit Puppet Shows | Live Performances | Art Activations | Cocktails | Food

Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 25th!

Come and dance in the Merry meadow under the Fairyland stars. Enjoy evening puppet shows, live art activations, musical performances by special guests, and many more surprises!

Gather up the homies and get your outfits together because this Friday night is like no other night out you’ve ever had before.

$30 General Admission
$25 Children’s Fairyland Members

Drinks are not included with the price of the ticket.

Drinks and food will be available for purchase throughout the park.

Ticket proceeds support Children’s Fairyland, helping keep admission affordable for local families and funding programs like summer camp scholarships, free field trips, and Fairyland for All memberships.

Can I bring children to this event?

No. Fairyland for Grownups is a 21+ adults-only event. All guests must be 21 or older and present a valid ID for entry.

Is parking available at the event?

Yes. Parking is available on Bellevue Avenue, operated by the City of Oakland. Parking is first come, first served.

When should I arrive?

Pre-screening begins at 5:30 p.m. We can open the Fairy Gates at 6:00 p.m. Please have your ID and QR code ready to keep the line moving.

Which local food and drink vendors will be there?

Beer, wine, themed cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, along with food from local vendors and food trucks throughout the park.

We will announce the vendors closer to the event.

Are tickets refundable?

All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.

Can I give my ticket to someone else?

Yes. Tickets may be transferred to another guest as long as the ticket holder presents the QR code and valid 21+ ID.

Which attractions will be open?

All of our storybook sets will be open except for our rides and tot-sized attractions:

  • Jolly Trolly
  • Anansi’s Magic Web
  • Flecto Carousel
  • Wonder-Go-Round

Note: The animals will already be tucked away for the night.

Do I need to bring anything?

All you REALLY need to bring is your confirmation email/QR code (again, all QR codes are individual and cannot be shared) and ID, but we’d recommend carrying some extra cash for food and souvenirs! To activate the many Talking Storybook Boxes, be sure to buy a limited-edition Magic Key from one of the roving fairies. And since this is a kiddie park, please don’t bring anything you wouldn’t want a toddler picking up off the ground in the morning (for instance, cigarette butts, glass bottles, etc.).

Do I need to wear a costume?

Not at all. Fairyland accepts all dreamers, regardless of their attire. Lots of people do wear costumes, though. And come on… you know you’ll probably have more fun in a tutu.
