The Education and Community Engagement Programs at Fairyland are dedicated to fulfilling our mission of providing a magical fantasy world where young children can create, imagine, play, and learn. We utilize our stages, events, and unique space to bring stories from diverse cultures to life, honoring Oakland’s vibrant cultural heritage. 

Our programs cultivate play through storytelling​ and intentional hands-on learning. Our programs engage visitors ​and participants at every stage of youth development, from Toddler Storytimes to field trips to job training for teens and young adults.

We are committed to increasing access through initiatives such as underwriting bus transportation for field trips​, youth scholarships, and providing free memberships to under-resourced families.
