    Fun in the Sun Beach Days Enjoy some fun in the sun every First Friday this summer at Children's Fairyland. We're transforming the Teddy Bear Picnic Area into a laid-back beach party filled with bubbles, sandy sensory play, beachy games, arts and crafts, and cool-down fun for little ones who love to move, play, and explore. Families can relax under colorful umbrellas, wander through our misting zones, and enjoy playful activities like limbo, magnetic fishing, duck matching games, sensory tables, and more summer silliness throughout the day. Want to lounge a while? Feel free to bring towels, blankets, or beach chairs to kick back and soak up the Fairy Fun! Most activities take place outside the designated "Splash Zone," so families can participate at their own comfort level. Bring a sunhat, lather up the sunscreen, and get ready for a sunny day at Fairyland!     Join us for a day where the Bay Area’s most talented kid-lit authors, illustrators, publishers, sellers, and educators come together to celebrate the magic of BOOKS! Meet 30+ kid-lit book creators ready to inspire. Enjoy captivating stories read aloud by the authors themselves. Watch talented illustrators bring stories to life before your eyes. Cheer on the remarkable 8 to 12-year-olds from our Youth Writers’ Workshop, hosted by Natasha Tripplett. Shop for books by all the participating book creators. Enjoy play-based and educational activities provided by our community partners.     Meet, Greet, and Eat! Chef Nelson German of alaMar Domican Kitchen takes the stage alongside Fairyland's furry puppet mascot, Quercus for a lively, step-by-step demonstration designed for young audiences! Grownups who want the inside scoop on The Town's best places to dine get a sneak peek behind the culinary curtain and children enjoy a live interactive show that sparks curiosity, confidence, and a love for yummy cuisine. Everyone gets a sample of the Chef's delish dish and takes home a recipe card to keep the magic going at home! Your little ones will: explore ingredients discover new flavors learn simple cooking techniques enjoy mindful food-centered entertainment get excited about helping out in the kitchen receive an activity booklet and crayons to follow along laugh with Quercus all the way through taste the final product meet Quercus and Chef for questions, high fives, and photos.  Included with General Admission Aesop's Playhouse
