Children’s Fairyland, Oakland’s beloved 10-acre storybook theme park designed especially for young children, is where Bay Area families play, recreate, explore, and make unforgettable summer memories together.
This summer, the magic is bigger than ever. With the all-new Summer Games, signature events, rides, puppet shows, themed activities, and every day storybook adventures around every corner, it’s the perfect time to visit and create cherished family memories.

Create, Imagine, Play & Learn with Summer Games!
As the FIFA World Cup comes to the Bay Area, Fairyland is proud to announce our very own celebration of kids in motion, action, and teamwork: Fairyland Summer Games! Come play for 10 weeks of family fun with four teams: Happy Dragons, Purple Ravens, Oak-Ness Monsters, and Rally Opossums! A nod to our hometown sports heroes.
How to Participate:
- Choose a team before you arrive and wear the team’s color (encouraged, not required!)
- Pick up your Playbook at the Info Desk in the Gift Shop
- Find your team’s Home Base
- Stamp your Playbook as you complete the four activities: Create, Imagine, Play, and Learn
- Turn in your Playbook at the end of your visit
- Earn a limited-edition Fairyland Trading Card and help your team climb the scoreboard
- Pick a new team on your next visit for a new adventure!
New trading cards are released each week, so keep coming back to collect them all!

Every day of the week is a party of its own.
- Mondays: Tots Zone • Teddy Bear Picnic Area • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesdays: Game Day • Merry Meadow • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Arts and Crafts • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursdays: Puppet Playdates • After 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. Puppet Shows
- Fridays: Toddler Storytime • Emerald City Stage • 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- Saturdays: Arts & Crafts • Ms. Moffett’s Garden • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sundays: Arts & Crafts • Ms. Moffett’s Garden • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
