Celebrate Juneteenth at Fairyland! Enjoy themed arts & crafts, block printing, Daisy the Clown performances, and a special appearance by Jump Squad 510 teaching the basics of how to jump rope, Double Dutch style. Join us for a day filled with cultural activities designed to inspire creativity, community, and reflection. Meet, Greet, and Eat! Chef Adiam of Oakland's Mela Bistro takes the stage alongside Fairyland's furry puppet mascot, Quercus for a lively, step-by-step demonstration designed for young audiences! Grownups who want the inside scoop on The Town's best places to dine get a sneak peek behind the culinary curtain and children enjoy a live interactive show that sparks curiosity, confidence, and a love for yummy cuisine. Everyone gets a sample of the Chef's delish dish and takes home a recipe card to keep the magic going at home! Your little ones will: explore ingredients discover new flavors learn simple cooking techniques enjoy mindful food-centered entertainment get excited about helping out in the kitchen receive an activity booklet and crayons to follow along laugh with Quercus all the way through taste the final product meet Quercus and Chef Adiam for questions, high fives, and photos.
