Family Summer Sleepover
Camp out at Children’s Fairyland for a magical family fun experience under the stars. Just bring a tent and sleeping bags—we’ll do the rest! At Summer Sleepovers you and your family get to: Enjoy Fairyland rides and attractions after hours Watch special performances Catch a sunset puppet show Have a delicious catered dinner Play well into the evening at the park Sleep under the Fairyland stars Wake up alongside the animals Savor a continental breakfast Camp the Fairyland way Make incredibly special memories New This Year: Craveable Catered Cuisine Oakland’s own Rico Rico Taco will be catering Summer Sleepovers turning your “campfire meal” into a mouth-watering moment with maximum flavor and options for everyone in your crew. Three chances to camp out: June 20, July 25, & August 8 Pack up your posse and get ready for an unforgettable outdoor overnight experience! Tickets are $80 per person Includes dinner by Rico Rico Taco, snacks, and continental breakfast. Lakefest Oakland
LakeFest Oakland, founded in 2018 in Oakland, CA, celebrates the rich culture and diversity that makes the city unique. Created by Oakland natives and operated by a dedicated team of Bay Area residents, LakeFest has grown into one of the largest cultural celebrations in Oakland. A family-friendly event where kids, pets, and community members come together to enjoy music, food, and culture, LakeFest Oakland embodies the vibrant energy that makes the city so special. CLOSED
As Oakland comes together to celebrate LakeFest 2026, our priority is safety for all guests wanting to celebrate, play, and be in community here in Oakland. With this in mind, Fairyland will be closed on Saturday, June 27, due to road closures and limited access to the Park. With Grand Avenue closed and public transportation routes impacted, we’ve decided to close for the day to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in the Lake Merritt area. We will reopen on Sunday, June 28, to the public at 10 a.m. We look forward to welcoming families back for a full day of play! We hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend celebrating all that makes Lake Merritt special. Have fun, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon! Thank you for understanding.
